The founders of International Society for Intelligent Construction (ISIC) published a paper “The pioneer of intelligent construction—An overview of the development of intelligent compaction” in Journal of Road Engineering. The authors include Prof. Guanghui Xu, Dr. George K. Chang, Prof. Dongsheng Wang, Prof. António G. Correia and Prof. Soheil Nazarian. It is available online starting on 5th December 2022. Readers can take advantage of the free open access to this paper.
Our first book of the International Society for Intelligent Construction (ISIC) Frontier of Intelligent Construction book series, entitled “Introduction to Intelligent Construction of Transportation Infrastructure,” is published by Springer (https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-031-13433-3). The book series includes seven books (https://www.is-ic.org/library/isic-journal-and-publication/). The goal of this book series is to be practical training materials for the current and future intelligent construction workforces. We will also develop ISIC training workshops and certification materials derived from those books and real-world case studies.

International Society for Intelligent Construction (ISIC) North America (NA) Chapter had supported the ISIC Track of the 2022 Minnesota Transportation Conference and Expo (MTCE) from May 17 to May 19 at the RiverCenter in St. Paul, MN. There were approximately 1,400 attendees for MTCE. The ISIC Track sessions were well-attended. The report for the ISIC Track Sessions is posted on the ISIC website.

The International Society for Intelligent Construction (ISIC) North American Chapter will sponsor the next Minnesota Transportation Conference & Expo (MTC&E) with an ISIC Track technical programs at Saint Paul RiverCentre in St. Paul, MN, USA, from May 17 to Match 19, 2022. This event is in-person. The ISIC track agenda will start with a Veta Training on May 17, free to all registrants. See the following important instructions:
A 2-hour Veta training will be provided at the 2022 Minnesota Transportation Conference and Expo (https://web.cvent.com/event/ced8e30b-73c8-4859-9955-40054201c028/websitePage:1fedac63-cd5a-43c1-aa04-eed61cc89927) on Tuesday, May 17 from 1PM to 3PM CT. This training will require attendees to bring a laptop and download the Veta software and some example class files. We would like to send out the links for the class files and Veta software prior to the training to ensure that all of the needed information is downloaded in advance as time will not be provided during training to download these materials. If you are attending this training, please provide your contact information using this form.
